This still baffles me....has to be my age and she must be one of those req's that thinks anyone over 40 is dead or retired or something lol
Apparently these are skill tests for hiring employees...?? Perhaps their thinking is that after a certain age and level of experience, one no longer is required to take a simple test to be employed. I've never been asked to, nor have I ever had to offer a resume to get work. I've either done simple fill-in jobs for extra cash(like this garbage) or have had people come to me to invite me to work for them...the thing is, I've only very seldom ever worked for someone besides myself.....The problem with older workers is that they want extra part time work or want to be paid for all those decades of experience. Hence the reason employers don't want older workers--they have to pay them.
I'm actually hoping Sarah is going to start a new batch later that will include a new demographic(us)....yeah, it's not likely. We all live in hope(less).

So, if one of you was just the question asker for the qa test hit about blues music, major props to you. Awesome questions. Wish we could make a comment in the hit when someone does REALLY WELL at asking questions, kopete @kopete (If you would find that data useful).
It MAY have been me, but I dunno, cause I'm sure more than one person got that story.
I like blues music. And Howard Armostrong was a good'n.

What do you think of the timer now. Too fast?
The timer seemed fine, to me.
You want to kinda keep things moving, though it does add a BIT of pressure, that can also be a good thing, sometimes. Makes you think on your feet.

I would love to but I am worried it may be additional work. Such people should be praised here :).

Yes, a little. I just finished a hit with someone who went clear to the full $1 (thank you human, I love you!) and I think we did an awesome job because I finally figured out that when answering a question, make it easy to ask a next, logical question.

With as good as this person also was, the timer got down to about 2 seconds before s/he submitted one question and I could see why there was a struggle there.

In my earlier one I was trying to edit what was naturally a long answer, and I wanted to edit out some "extra" stuff that didn't need to be there, and got down to about five seconds left and was sweating it hard.

So maybe add another 15-20 seconds just so we aren't super rushing? We don't have to use the time if we don't need it, and I think many of us are getting a lot faster with this and know how to do the hit to make a natural, quick conversation.

My husband just told me "we have too much crap". But he was talking about me. There was no "we" meant in that statement. And I don't feel like turking. Work was super busy today. Cheers!

Sounds like my mom, when I was a kid.

Do what I do with my kid. Put a box in front of him and say "fill it with your stuff. I'll take it to Good Will this weekend."
