Drove up to KC yesterday to celebrate my birthday, and my mom calls me wants to know why I'm not at her house for my birthday party (which she had only invited my step-dad and my brother). I told her we went up to KC and she got pissed because she had planned to have me over, and she had gotten me a card. No cake/ice cream/brownies/pie or anything else, but I was supposed to know to come over and I had to come get my birthday card. She is also refusing to mail my birthday card or bring it to me...so I have to drive an hour to her house to go get it tomorrow.
*sigh* I'm over 30...didn't know I still had to go to mommy's house

Be reverse passive but in a way that makes her look bad for not doing what you want. Tell her you're so happy she bought you a card, and so you're going to make/buy her dinner. She should come over (whatever day is best for you) to celebrate. Make her drive, and look bad if she declines. It's what I do to my mom when she does that motherly passive agressive guilt trippy type shit. Which is to say, never any more, she learned her lesson, which I learned from her a long time ago, so the circle is complete...

I will say that don't reject for using short hand, like establishing in the first round "the girl in the wide brimmed hat and sunglass next to the big cake" becomes "hat girl" in later rounds. I've done 10 of these, no rejections so far. It's best when you get a teammate that wants to speed through them as fast as you do.
