Question though, are we supposed to be able to see the poll results after voting? I thought for Crowd Pleaser the results are normally hidden. No big deal, just wondering if that was on purpose.

They will ask for a PayPal invoice because it helps them keep track of everything for tax records as it helps you. It's all in one place and not scattered everywhere plus you'd have to go a few extra miles to fake a PayPal invoice. But yeah, it sounds like you got taken. They pay through Amazon because they have to do so but any work you take off Amazon you can almost bet 60 percent of the time they will eventually screw you.

If they are actually working to pay you above board and send you a 1099 then the W-9 is a legit request. I haven't done work for requesters off site but I do a few other side gigs that require this. Instead of a SSN I requested an Employer Identification Number from the IRS for my little business. It's was quick and easy and is hopefully one small step to keep your SSN a little safer.
It's okay. We all have stories like that. I typically don't do follow-ups unless it's another HIT. But I'm also a wee bit lazy.It was my first time.
