looks like not many people around. what are the peak hours on mturk?

Probably weekday mornings, like right now. We have our typical number of members logged on the forum right now. Are you looking for someone in particular?

Right now are peak hours. There is just a lot of work available at the moment so people are probably finishing other things first.

As @coffeeowl mentioned, it's probably because people have a lot of HITs to pick from during peak hours (at least, a lot compared to evening hours when it's pretty slim pickings).

I guess peak time is subjective based on who is asking. For workers, it's now, because there is a lot to choose from. Though like electrolyte and coffeeowl, and others have said, as a requester you may find the peak for people working on your HITs to be at night, etc.

When I was little I used to go out in the backyard with a stick and pretend there were little bubbles floating around that led to other worlds. I had to poke them with the stick and when they popped I'd be in the other world and would have to search for the bubble that led back. One time I ended up in a world that was populated with people with dinosaur heads, they were very sophisticated, though the brontosaurus people were awkward to talk to.
