Just for the record, most of us accepted a few hits this morning, before this started. I don't know what happened (if a coast was suddenly affected, the problem was triggered by the time of day - for all we know, it hit workers alphabetically) - but for me, it all started out like any other morning and I did a few hits. And then I couldn't.

Just got off the phone with Amazon. They told me to just log out and try back in a few hours. She said they realized there was a huge system-wide issue when they came in this morning and pretty much nobody is able to work and they should have it sorted out within two hours or so. She emphasized that they basically can't afford to have mturk down for a really long time, so they're rushing to fix it.
