Just got off the phone with Amazon. They told me to just log out and try back in a few hours. She said they realized there was a huge system-wide issue when they came in this morning and pretty much nobody is able to work and they should have it sorted out within two hours or so. She emphasized that they basically can't afford to have mturk down for a really long time, so they're rushing to fix it.
how did you (and whomever else) get someone on the phone?
I don't want to call them, right now, but it's nice to think you got through not just to a person, but someone who knew what mturk IS (or, ahem, was).

New yorker here.
Mturk IS running
Apparently a bunch of people were able to accept some, then it stopped working. I've accept/submitted about 10 so far and still looking good, though...but I probably just jinxed myself.

I called payments. You get a direct person not even an auto system to direct to you a real person.

That's how it was for me this morning until I hit a captcha, then everything went to crap.

I just called at 866-216-1075. There's no automation, but there was a long (15+ minutes) holding period.
