For me, logging into payments not from mTurk worked. But it's not working for everyone. Keep trying, that seems to work the best.

I swear the prerequisite for being a meter maid must be something along the lines of, too angry for the post office but too petty for law enforcement.

Pretty much. Like 75% of Portland is No Parking, 1 Hour Parking, No parking on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, etc.

The meter maids know right where to look and you can't take any chances.

Had that yesterday or the day before. Log out/in from Amazon Payments and try again. Fixed it for me.
