Shouting at ACME is making me sound mad..

I've started doing ACME HITs with a real microphone, and a filter in front of it. I have to raise the gain a bit, so I don't have to shout...and the filter helps with sibilance and other things that cause it to clip. I wouldn't go about getting this crap and setting it up, just for ACME HITs, unless your office is also part studio
