I had a staph infection in my face and it didn't get to my brain. So, technically I'm a lucky fucker. It's all good.

I did. It took 20 days of high dose clindamycin to destroy it.

Round 1 of oral surgery done.

Round 2 in 2 weeks.

End game is that I am going to end up in dentures within the next couple of years as a result of the staph infection killing the majority of my teeth. Really sucks being 41 and contemplating dentures but I also know it could have been a hell of a lot worse.

So back to turking since I was able to get away without any narcotics for my surgery. Let's make some money!

You may want to check out oil-pulling. I believe that would kill any infection. I found out about it on mturk forum a couple years ago. Anyone remember hitsforgrits?

Fell asleep and fall face first on a dirty sink and cut my face at 2am. Within 2 days the staph had taken hold. Dr and Dentist both called it a freak accident.

damn, very lucky! I had periodontitis earlier this year and got staph in it. If I hadn't gone to the ER when I did (after my regular doc told me it was nothing) the ER doc said it likely would have gone to my brain within about 24 hours.

Thanks, but staph infections are one thing you absolutely don't fuck with. Staph loves to travel to the brain and heart and can be pretty fatal. In addition to 20 days of antibiotics I had to go to the hospital for antibiotic IV twice.

I wouldn't give a homeopathic remedy the time of day when it comes to this shit. No way.

I'm not completely sure? That's what they called it, but they said it was an infection in my salivary gland. It made me face and neck swell up so bad I couldn't open my mouth at all, or talk. It was also horrifically painful.
