Sometiems I'm surprised how much bodies put up with. I fell down a hill once and landed all my weight on my left wrist and it didn't even hurt (well not anymore than the scrape across my palm, but not broken.)If it makes you feel any better, a couple years ago, I stepped out the front door with my bow, arrows, and a few coke bottles I was going to explode with a couple of special arrows, and while I was fumbling with the bottles, trying not to drop them, I put my foot down and... the 2 concrete block steps down were not there. Someone had moved them the night before, to start building the frame to pour the concrete foundation for the front patio, and I KINDA forgot, so I stepped down onto thin air, threw my bow so I wouldn't impale myself, hit myself in the head with a coke bottle, and put my body weight on the side of my ankle as I hit the ground.
Thankfully, didn't break it, somehow (200+ pounds of stupid man on it, but it didn't break). Pulled a ligament. Almost torn, but I'm fairly flexible and tough, it seems.
I then had to call my 75 year old grandmother to come help me up off the ground, as I sat there, swearing and cursing at the Coke bottles, cause it was clearly their fault.
Good times.
And because I'm a vengeful bugger, I then proceeded to have her help me get a chair and take it outside, then limped and hopped my way out there, picked up the now considerably-hated, pure evil coke bottles, hopped 20 feet to the log I was going to set them on, set them up, hopped back to my chair, picked up my bow, and very aggressively murdered them (that part was very, very satisfying when high on adrenaline).
Also, I now have a fear of walking outside and steps suddenly not being where they should be.
edit: which is silly since we don't even have steps
