Anyone have any thoughts on outdoor security camera's? I need some for protection here after a theft and a neighbor that acts like he's off his meds- I have no clue about security camera's- trying to get ones that work well- and good for a novice-

I have found that motion detecting flood lights do a great job as a deterent. Well, and a doberman pinscher.

That doesn't work in my neighborhood-ghettoville...Police aren't helpful here either- Camera and a weapon is my best defense- I have very big viscous dogs..and flood lights..That didn't stop them from stealing a lawn mower in my yard..jumping the fence-to which they could've been killed by my dogs- they took the risk- lots of drug addicts here-..and nothing like that will stop a neighbor from yelling derogatory things- Having that on camera will be helpful in case anything happens-

Is there a very small hole in the knob facing out? if so get a very small flat bladed screwdriver and insert it in that hole, then turn it and it should unlock

That's not ideal, but certainly better than being locked in. (especially with no devices)

Take a hard plastic card and shimmy it into the door jam. You SHOULD be able to possibly bump the lock.
Come from the top or the bottom and slide it over the lock. Keep trying if it doesn't work the first time.
