We went to a $1 clothes sale and picked up a bunch of things. Including a Kate Spade purse (in very good condition). I paid and when I got to the car, my daughter said she put the purse back to get a t-shirt.
I'm trying not to be angry. But......

She wasn't making them, anyway. She had sold that company. I'll bet they keep using her name - there was always good will attached to her name/brand - and I'm not sure that has diminished with her death. Perhaps it has even been raised, somewhat?

Oh, and I found out that I've been pronouncing hummus all wrong (it's hoom-us not hum-us).
I need to go back to bed.

I'd put that in the same category as using the french pronunciation for croissant or italian for mozzarella or saying "fuh" for pho...like yes it's technically correct (the best kind of correct?) but it also makes people sound pretentious since the tacitly agreed-upon pronunciation is the "wrong" way. The words have been americanized to some extent as they are common foods here now and that's ok.
