that same ex wanted to marry me though. i wasn’t ready so i told her maybe we should wait a little while longer (had been dating 3 years at that point)(i understood where she was coming from though).

and then she gets engaged 2 months later to this guy

i cant handle when I see any of that stuff. Had beers with my first boyfriend ever on Friday. He's married and trying to have a kid and kicking ass in his career.

it was a giant gut punch when it all happened two or so yrs ago (time flies)

and since then i’ve had a very marginal amount of success via dating. havent even tried the last several months

Dating is crazy, I love women and had to calm down since it ruined my first relationship, two kids came out of the whole ordeal one to my ex and one to my new fiancée. I am now a better person and working really hard to maintain this current relationship, so far it's great and I feel lucky. Good luck to all.

Sometimes the wait is worth it, which trust me, I hate saying it because when people told me that, I felt it was bs but looking back on it, it was true. After a horrible relationship which ended with being cheated on and him dating the girl he claimed he wasn't cheating on me with two days after we broke up, then to dating another person who cheated, I was single for two years. I tried dating every now and then but it didn't work out. During that time I just focused on me, thought hard on what I would tolerate and wouldn't tolerate in a relationship (thus dating not being successful lol), and without even trying I met my fiance. That was 7 years ago, and we are getting married in March. Had I not had that time of unsuccessful dating, I would've jumped in at the next person who thought I was cute (I also had horrible self-esteem issues) and got myself hurt all over again.

Awake for 2 hours and I've got PE=$3.76, $1.18 in bonuses with another $10 on the way from that geometric HIT, and my penny stack from yesterday is starting to get approved. Hopefully I'll be past 1k after my shower.

i miss the comfort of being with someone who was okay with my awkward, crazy self. i miss her still every now and then. she was pushing for marriage hard at the end though. and sometimes I wish I would’ve just agreed. she was basically my best friend as well. but now the other half of my brain is like “she also just wanted marriage. that’s why she married the next guy so soon”. so i don’t know. it’s a clash in my brain every time i think of the situation. after two years it just feels more numb than anything. not indifference, but not too far away now.
