pull the battery, let it sit awhile, it sounds like it thermaled, the girly here had her Dell do that the first night she moved in, i had to pull battery and let it cool down.we just got back from her cooking group. it's a HP. It won't turn off at this point, but I can hear the fan so it's still on. The on/off key doesn't turn it off (I can't get it to respond at all) - so right now it seems to be on, but the screen is black.
IDK. I've warned her about leaving it on the floor (dog and cat walk on it - and the dog's about 80 pounds.) And it got dusty, I'm sure. If I get her a new anything, it will be an old computer, like the one I use, off of newegg. No more laptops in this house
Right now I'm just going to have her work off of her tablet - I'll have enough money in a few weeks to buy her something. Until then, she'll have to use the tablet and my computer - parttime. SIGH
