Oh, hello there, ocular migraine who came to ruin my already un-productive day.

Have you tried taking a Benadryl? I normally take Excedrin and if it's really bad I take a Benadryl. It makes you sleepy, but it normally takes the migraine away. I had an ER Dr. give that to me once when I thought I was going to die and went there. I remember thinking he was a quack......but it worked.....

I try to avoid even baby Benadryl b/c it knocks me out HARD and makes me fuzzy for a couple days. I'm a single parent, so taking a mini-vacation isn't an option, but thank you. Maybe some day I can try that.

Gotcha! Lucky for me all mine are teens now, so I can just say "Mommy needs to be alone...don't burn down the house...."

I got walking pneumonia when my daughter was about 4 or 5. I made a pot of rice in the rice cooker - added veggies and passed out on the papasan couch while she watched videos. I crawled out to the kitchen and gave her food every once in awhile.

After that, I taught her to cook an egg. By 6 (maybe even 5) she could do that independently. That way, if all else failed (meaning me) - she could make an egg

anyway, I can relate to the single mom thing. Sometimes it was easier being single. But when I got sick......it was so much harder

I have terrible allergies that give pretty good migraines- having a good magnesium supplement helps and I just take ibuprofen if it gets too bad and a quick eye shut and they're gone- They get bad enough to feel like vomiting at times- Allergy pills give me bad side effects and don't help much. Interestingly- chiropractors can help with alleviating allergy and migraine issues
