i've never had an outside job where everyone showed their weekly paychecks to each other

at my last outside job, I was horrified to be told by my co-worker that she made more than I. She graduated from a fake phd program (it was fake - and she advertised it to the men: "I GOT me my Phd" - but she never submitted it to HRS because....it was a mill school, pure fake degree). Meanwhile, I was the acting supervisor, who had to do all supervision, scheduled everything, took up all the slack - ran extra groups......oversaw the program when we were down not just a supervisor but administrative assistant (that's a big deal in prison, because it meant I had to leave the program to go to another building to do her job as well).

All for less money than the guards (the guards! With their GED's). And Ms. I got me my Phd.

Oh, yea. I'm bitter.

absolutely don't blame you, shit like that pisses me off, and one thing i learned from my years of working, nothing is ever fair and the harder you work the less you get appreciated and the more work they put upon you, but the slacker seems to slide right by without a glitch.

so i say the olde saying work hard and you will get somewhere, is BS...

maybe few get lucky but it's not the norm
