Hey.. so who knows about pc's and upgrading etc... is a SSD really that much of an upgrade over an HDD? Like what are the benefits does it make your PC faster etc..?

Huge, huge upgrade. Probably the most noticeable upgrade you can make to a computer, specially if you boot up from an SSD. Prices have been dropping like crazy lately too, now that the technology is becoming mainstream.

I was thinking of upgrading... I guess I could upgrade RAM (8 GB right now) or CPU I5 currently but I dunno about upgrading that.

MHO, ram first. You'll get the most gain there.

Unless you do video editing or heavy picture editing, you don't really need more than 8 gigs of ram at the moment. That's what I have, I play games and sometimes have like 30 tabs open and I haven't run out of ram yet. Trust me out of all the things you could buy, the SSD will make the biggest difference in day-to-day use.

He could get more ram and create a "RAM drive", I think it's much faster than an SSD, and kill 2 birds with one stone. Who knows. I'm sure you're right. It all depends on what runnning and where your bottleneck is. Plus, I don't game so.. yeah.
