Still have my wayne manor one. I only burn it sometimes cause I love the smell so much and don't wanna run out.
Thats possibly still my favorite one, it smells so different. Leather, sweet tobacco, old books.

neato! what kind of scents are your summer ones? I rarely buy candles and usually only have 1 at a time. but my current one is almost done for.
S'mores, Summer Dream, which smells like fresh cut grass and a bonfire/roasted marshmallow and i believe there are 4 more.

I don't think I've ever bought anything off Etsy. Might have to order one of your candles when you start selling.

It's that tobacco smell. I love the smell of tobacco (obviously not the smoked kind.) I used to make my mom let me smell her cigarettes when she first opened them.

A fresh opened pack of cigarettes, especially Marlboros, always smelled like raisins to me. It sounds crazy, and I thought it was crazy when a friend mentioned it to me, but after hearing that I realized that it really did smell like raisins. And that's just how I thought about that smell ever since.

Theres a huge difference between unburnt tobacco and burnt tobacco...the unburnt stuff smells sooooo sweet. If you've ever been around someone that smokes a pipe you would know. Also walking into a good cigar shop(not one where people are smoking) Its kind of hard to describe the sweetness.

It totally does, I never explain it that way cause people look at me weird.

When I smoked a pipe, people used to tell me it smelled like a really good cup of coffee.

I realized that the burnout has been hitting me and that it's time for me to start booking craft shows again. I have only done one in the past 9 months because my wife turns into a complete basket case when she has to watch our toddler for more than a few hours, but I seriously have to do something to make myself less reliant on turking for coin. The stress that it brings is a living hell, and I can only imagine how some of you who rely on it for a sole source of income must feel.

Advice: If you have any fucking creativity at all and can make ANYTHING then do it and find a flea market or craft show to sell it in. There is a market for everything and you would be beyond amazed how much you can make at one of those shows in a single day or weekend.
So true. My (then) 13 year old made about $800 last year selling scarves he made. That was just in one crafts show and one half day in front of our house with a table set up.

He could make more if he worked on them year round, lol. Or branched out into hats/slippers/other loom knitted goods.

(also, in the land of people will buy anything, the scarves that sold out first were the "mini" scarves that he made using yarn that didn't have enough left for a full scarf. We labeled them as "mini/pet/baby" scarves and more than one person bought some for their dogs. We did not expect the mini scarves to sell out so quickly!)
