No joke. I have lived in California my entire life, a huge chunk of that in an agricultural area. (Full disclosure, I also volunteer for an organization for farm workers, the vast majority are Mexican). I would not be going out on a limb to say the Mexicans I know, as a group, are much harder workers than the Whites I know, as a group.

Leave you all alone for a bit and the place goes to heck. Reminds me of the time the landlord needed work done on his house so he found a person of Spanish decent to do the work.
