Finally finished! She took forever because of the trees and blending. I wish the photo would show the details better, but that's what I get for using my phone as a camera I guess.

Spending the day coloring and watching walking dead (because I forgot I'd recorded last season)

You ladies!! So nice!!
I fixed my weeping angel, yeah, my phone isn't picking up the details, but I'm much happier with her now. It's darker and more vibrant in person.

I have been working on this one for ages, I hate that I decided to do the background that way cos it is such a pain in my ass. And even though the black floor looks awesome, it was still, like, 10 hours of layering and blending.

But also, my best friend brought me some pastels, so I played around with them on a previously finished piece to give Gert a background.

Not happy with the dress. The colors didn't blend like I expected so none of the shading worked. So she kinda just looks like a bluegreen blob.

Well. That turned out better than I thought it would. Not perfect but by far the best black braid I've done so far.

I can only do it if I copy someone else's picture No idea how to do it on my own.

Do you have a colorless blendy pencil? For this one specifically I just colored the corners then used the pencil to smudge it around and the middle was lighter cause I didn't color it. (then I scribbled some white on top)

That's the end of my brilliant advice.


edit: this is advice I've stolen from elsewhere.
edit2: Also this is my 7th or 8th try to do this braid >.> I didn't share the others cause they were total garbage that just looked like a long black smear. Now that I think about it I really should've saved those for comparison.

I don't think so? I've only ever had this pencil-shaped thing that was basically just rolled cardstock. idk if that's the same thing though
