I was just going to say, I would report the landlord to HUD. I am not sure how it works were you are but I assume that it is probably close to how it works in New York. For a landlord to receive Section 8 payments, they need to get the property reviewed by the agency making the payment. They also agree to keep up reasonable maintenance on the property. It is one of the reasons most landlords do not accept Section 8 vouchers since they do not want to agree to this. I believe they are also subject to fines if they do not make repairs and keep the property in decent shape. If your landlord is being difficult, I would definitely go through the housing authority who helped place you there.I've already had to report her to HUD once, when she was making me go without heat for 2 weeks when it was below 30 degrees without providing any space heaters. she was not happy.
