I just checked Crowdsurf Twitter because I was like what is this how there is still no work and I didn't see any big news there...
I don't see any threads about it at MTC...
Does anybody know what the deal is?

Crowdsurf you know they always have a zillion HITs they've been hovering around 200 for a long time and they never work.
So I'm trying to figure out what the dealio is.

I've never heard of it.
is it a third party site, or are they an mturk requester?

Don't they have their own platform? Have you checked there? I don't do them so I'm not sure.

They used to post a lot of transcription work on Turk. They never paid very well, at all. Not sure how they pay or operate on their own platform, though. Could be a different experience. If you try it please let us know how it is.

In case you missed them, here are our previous bonus updates:

1. Starting Monday 3/14/16, bonuses are no longer available on Mturk.
2. Just a reminder that you can join us on CrowdSurfWork via Work Market for full payment and full bonuses.

I remember that this is when I stopped doing them. They were way underpaid, even with the bonuses.

They do have their own platform, but it's sort of convoluted to get set up since you have to go through Work Market to get to their task website. Also worth noting, they only have 21 tasks up on their task website at the moment, none of which actually seem to load. So at the very least it's not just MTurk getting shafted.

Yeah, even with the bonuses you had to be a whiz to crack $4 per hour. Some of their files were so grainy and full of static that they were unworkable.

Yep it looks like they probably left mturk and just kind of abandoned these HITs that's why they don't work.
And not too much work on their new platform and Twitter is saying they have all this Spanish work available...hmmmmmmmmm
It's just one of those things. It was good practice for me and I had a groove with it and made it fast but yes mostly underpaid.
