Hi I have had this happen as well...its annoying.Today I have found about three HITs that just say your answers have been recorded without giving the code to submit the HIT. What do you guys do, just return it?
FYI still on my third day of turking.
Thanks in advance
It makes sense to hold off until you have enough HITS. However, reporting it to Amazon (I'm sorry to say) doesn't do anything. For a while, I just put "No Code" in the MTurk page box, but I got a rejection once for doing that. So, now I just report them - every single time! - and return the hit. Safer that way.
I agree that holding off makes sense for people who are fairly new and don't have a lot of room for rejections, or might be doing dodgy requesters. But I don't think I have ever been rejected when the survey didn't give a code. Now I usually just write something like "no code" and add my ID. But I also take a screenshot of the final survey page and save it with a name I'll recognize. I find Fireshot works well for webpage screenshots. It makes sense to hold off until you have enough HITS. Very rarely (as in once) have I ever seen them get involved. And that was because THEY were about to lose a lot of money. I'm certain they have intervened more than once.......but not that much more
