I kinda think that's the point of the HITs, is to clarify Amazon's loose lingo. They were probably all selected by an algo' and the HIT is probably a 'machine learning' task. Of course, they could all be sent in by idiots with the A9 app on their phone and this is classification or tagging. Or a combo of both.

I shockingly woke up to this fact as soon as I read the 1st chapter in Richard Clarke's (counterterrorism czar under George W. Bush) book "Against All Enemies" where it describes the decision making process of the people running the country when sitting around a table in a bunker trying to decide who was in charge and what to do about the 9/11 attacks just after they happened. Totally agree, the people in positions of power and authority are really not much smarter than us.
