There are many reasons and this is only one....well part of one.
Many have left for TH in general. Not just for a secret script.

Many also left to have secret chat groups on various platforms.
Where you could discuss good batches without them being wrecked/scammed.

Many haven't really needed Mturk that much for a good part of this year because there is a secret platform also.

And of course there is always a high turnover in this community (people leaving for "real" jobs and such).

MTC is dying for many reasons. Not just one.

I think one of the things that keeps us going is the community.

care about each other.

i haven't posted much because my IRL job has taken the bulk of my time even when i should be doing AMT work. It's been a messy year.

I didn't start working until Thursday this week. I stumbled across this forum and ended up having two of my best days in a row.

I just started using HIT Catcher in MTurk Suite and I'm still a little confused with it. Does it slow down with the amount of HIT's you put into it? At one point I had like 60 in there and it was dragging. Any other recommendations to improve would be greatly appreciated! I'm trying to get to $20 a day average.

First, congratulations! Second, yeah, running that many pandas is definitely going to slow you down. Here's a recent post by @Sciency McScienceface which explains the situation of PREs (page request errors) and how to avoid them pretty well.
