Looking through TH for the first time ever and it's sad how many people used to be here that are posting there now...I don't get it. it's not like there's something toxic about MTC I'm definitely placing more importance on this than I should be lol

It feels toxic right now. I just logged on and read the daily and, we're still adding weight to this stupid report of bots, by an inexperienced requester. People are going on about conspiracy theories, and wishing people good luck on their travels. Not only are you placing more importance on it but, it's turn into a self fulfilling prophecy. It's only as much of an issue as we all are making it.

I didn't think it was either but now I'm worried.

Sorry but, if we all take that attitude what will we have? A bunch of sad sacks all sitting in one forum trying to console each other. Sounds miserable. I'd stop coming too. You'd end up with what we have today. No HITs posted in the Daily for over an hour.

Requesters don't really want "pro" survey takers though, because they are proven to be more likely to produce biased results. Turkprime has actually implemented a feature to filter out people who take a lot of surveys (more complex than <1,000 HITs, or whatever.)

I am damn good at what I do. No bias.

TurkerView is actually an extremely helpful tool if you do surveys. Regardless of how you feel about TH as a whole.

There is a free script for everybody that shows how good surveys you have in your queue are. The script also lets you contribute to the great data TV provides.
