I haven't used Google's voice commands on the browser (just via their Google home thing at a friend's place), but if google voice commands still work without being the default URL bar search, there you go. Or you can just navigate to duckduckgo's homepage whenever you want to use it and keep google as the default search.

A script would be a good way to go about that, but it would need to be written specifically for what you're trying to do, I think. I'm not sure if there are any generic search scripts out there that do something like that.
