Yep, reading the reviews more in depth that seems to be what is happening. I seem to remember doing the previous version as well, but I have never in my 5 years of turking have had to email a requester about a bonus. Guess they will be the first.
Making them lose interest sounds perfect. My problem is when I'm like "HAHA I JUDGED BOOOOOOBIES TODAY FOR A BIT" and people are like "Don't you have an English degree??"It happens that the bulk of my work is for one requester, so when I say "I do a kind of specialized data entry for a marketing analytics company" it's, well, true.
I still told non-techie people I did data entry even when I turked more generally, though. It both sounds legit and has the bonus of making the asker lose interest immediately, thus making it easier to steer the conversation away from the subject

Yeah you don't have to do any writing whatsoever if you don't feel like it. They used to post on the forum and that's the way I've been doing them for years, even when the format changes.
