I'm almost certain I developed cubital tunnel syndrome from Turking. It came about right when I started. I guess I shouldn't have my left elbow on the table, with my hand supporting my leaning head.

on the one hand, TGIF. On the other, crap, I'm on call for the next week dammit.
Nothing beats getting called at 3 am on a Saturday because some dumbass unplugged a cable!

DUDE I was recently diagnosed with cubital tunnel. I can 100% say it's from turking. it's excruciating and I can barely use my right arm.

Sometimes it takes a lot to not wonder aloud why I'm the one getting asked to drive to the place at 3 am to plug in a cable when the other network people (or really anyone in general) are capable of tracing the damn thing.

With that said, are you working for an ISP? I fondly remember those days, mainly because it was the bane of my existence.

Morning all!
Last night I caught a $7 Tarr Lab hit and even complained on here about the length of it didn't seem to match the description, but kept on pushing through and survived. I want to say Tarr Lab was fair and sent me a $2.97 bonus to accommodate the extra time spent. I was impressed with them.

In started at the end of Feb. I started Turking in the beginning of Feb. On my left hand, my pinky finger and that part under it became numb. Also half of my ring finger.

I went to the doc, they gave me a steroid, but nothing happened. I thought maybe the chiro did something and had a few adjustments after, but still numb.

The doc sends me for a nerve conduction test, which sucked somewhat, and I have this issue. The guy who did the test gave me a high 5 because he said almost everyone can't tell the numbness in the ring finger is only half of the finger.

Mine doesn't sound as severe as yours. My elbows hurts sometimes, but I could move my arm. I just have this numbness.

Point of Sales Provider. I work on the Application Operations side of things so my area is helping to maintain our above store application servers. it's a great job and most of the time the on call side of things is quiet but there's always the chance that something could go wrong and since we're international with 3 different data centers across the world if something like an unplugged cable or broken fiber were to occur we'd be in a big stinkin' pile of crap. We did have that happen once, about 6 years ago. Some worker in one of the data centers managed to cause a massive electric arc when he somehow managed to plug a massive power cable into a spot he shouldn't have. that caused the arc and surprised he wasn't killed. we lost everything and it took 3 months just to get all our clients and applications back up and running.
