It's also about finding safe HITS to work on (and ones you are good at). It took me a long time. Others have gotten to 1000 in a lot less time (I think I took a few weeks).

I'm sick of not qualifying for some of the better paying and possibly not as boring ones that I see. I'm at 196 now. I'm going to try and get to 500 by the weekend.

if it's any help i've been a shut-in for the last week and a half because of adulting (unless i've gotten out to run but if this cold doesn't go away anytime soon even that wont be happening the rest of the week)

I know time and attention is variable depending on the person but if you were to put a number on it what would it be?

It shouldn't be hard to do 100 HITs a day, during your 10 day probation. Of course, if you're trying to catch great HITs and do stuff that's got decent pay, it can take significantly longer. Getting numbers and making a decent amount per day are separate goals that don't always work together because, to get numbers safely and quickly, you may be doing penny HITs. So, in the beginning, before you hit those milestones, you may have to make the choice of numbers or income.
But, 1000 should be easily achievable in the first 10 or 11 days. If it's not, it's usually because people are expecting to make more and disregard the numbers HITs that they should be doing when they start because they don't pay well enough. That is true but, it's just like being a lightly paid intern where, sometimes you have to make the choice between experience and income.
The max(3800 a day) is achievable with the right batch. 100 a day is easy. So, in that case 1000 in 10 days and 5000 in 50 is easy. If you do more, it can happen much quicker.

I work hits throughout the day when I'm either taking a break from the IRL job or I'm in a spot where I can't do anything but monitor activity. Since I work remote I have the IRL job on one monitor and amt and related on another so it's easy enough to switch back and forth. Unless I'm doing nothing but AMT on a day i'll not see numbers much higher than 40 (unless I've got a mindless batch I can speed through)

Yeah, around 40-60 is what I mostly do these days. But, I average about $2 a HIT.(averaged from the whole day) Some days it's more, some days less.

Well put and very accurate from what I've observed. I've been cherry picking for value but I need to maximize the value of the time I spend in front of the computer because I spend so much time away from it. I need more options and that means hello penny hits. I should be able to bump my completion numbers up by a lot today.

I found that that's what worked for me. I disregarded pay for the first 2 weeks(my internship) and learned everything I needed to know. I'd rather get it out of the way, than be 6 months in and not have a handle on the basics. But, everyone is different.

I got a ton of PRE's today with it on 900

That's weird. You might have to adjust your other scripts' timers a bit and see if that helps. Increase them by a bit to see if PREs go down.

980 ms is going to not catch enough hits on some of the more popular batches. For mine I use an algorithm that speeds up each non-pre request and pauses for 1800ms every time it gets a PRE. I would guess there is a solution publicly available to go faster, maybe a fork of the script, maybe a script for the script, maybe another script or solution. I'm not sure what people are using these days, but 980 seems awfully slow.
