Some people are discussing the end of mturk
Others are working on a 2016 election survey that reposted because, well, who knows
And others are working on a single survey that decided to break into 30 tiny survey's with 30 even smaller survey codes......

Plus my daughter is angry because she asked me how she looked in her leggings. (Her fault, she asked....and yes, they are too tight :(
well none of that sounds fun

Notice how I never put country in there. It's the only genre of music that makes me want to vomit and contemplate murder at the same time. Johnny Cash is about as deep as I get in the country rabbit hole. The rest of it needs to be taken out back and put to rest quicker than Old Yeller.
Oh dude the country thing is so weird for me to be into. I've found that I really dig old country blues, and REALLY old country. Williams (1923-1953), not his son who makes music I do not enjoy one bit.

This is the song that started it:
We recorded a cover of it (still needs some kind of percussion). Idk why I'm obsessed with it. I landed on it while listening to Sacred Harp singing that I was looking into for a project.

edit: Also I'm fairly certain that playing OODLES of Fallout games have changed my music tastes over time lol

I have tried all my life to give country a chance, but nothing ever sticks and now it just makes me angry. Haha. And luckily I don't have to take turns with anyone in regards to music. So I don't have to be nice. I'm not very nice to begin with anyways.

is crazy weird and you can make robots sing Sacred Harp style. And the whole site is in German for some reason. It's glorious.

I have two loaves of bread in the oven. And black bean soup with sour cream. Hungry?
What kind of bread? I was thinking of doing a Challah today b/c of the Jewish holidays coming up (am not Jewish)

The key thing to pick up is that it's "old country blues". Anything that has a hint of blues almost never goes full country and at worst is tolerable. At best it's nostalgic and reminds us of John Wayne movies and simpler times.

Check this out... besides it being in Greek, the music is fantastic. It's called "The basement" or underground. In Thessaloniki there were tons of bars that were in the cellars of the restaurants where you could gamble, drink, hook up with a prostitute, etc.

Oh for sure. Helps b/c my in-laws are mid-western, so at least there is some common ground musically. Half of them are musicians so it helps.

This is weird and I love it.

I returned it because it wouldn't load for me either. Screw it. My goal is low today anyways.
