Anyone who has a roku device, I would recommend adding the NewsOn app if you want to track the hurricane. You can watch multiple live news station feeds from the area.

Hoping everyone down there is safe. The wind isn't the biggest bitch of this thing. The rain totals are going to be insane from this thing.

That's why we left. Even though we are inland we figured we'd be without power for a few days and possibly stranded due to flooding on our street. (This is based on what our neighbors said happened during Matthew.) And I'm really glad we did because since the path has changed we are in for even more rain than I thought.

WECT 6 News out of Wilmington keeps sending reporters out into the hurricane. It's like watching a snuff film. They make it a few minutes out in the rain before a huge wind gust blows them off the air.

That's why we left. Even though we are inland we figured we'd be without power for a few days and possibly stranded due to flooding on our street. (This is based on what our neighbors said happened during Matthew.) And I'm really glad we did because since the path has changed we are in for even more rain than I thought.

It looks like the saving grace of this thing is going to be that most left. press is disappointed it seems because they don't have rescue boats to chase like they did in Houston but people are safe.

I’m out of it now, luckily. I live in southeast VA. We are getting a chill tropical storm out of it now. Whoever lives in NC/SC is probably being impacted regardless of their inland location.

Luckily it looks like the storm caused too much upwelling and killed off itself bringing up cold water

NewsOn cut the feed from the station I was watching but WECT 6 has a free app on roku, and they stream online. They are really spending a lot of time showing the radar and talking about what areas are currently getting hit, damage, where to go and what to avoid.
