I am SO READY for today. My kiddo's bonus grandparents are picking him up in about 2 hours and are keeping him UNTIL TOMORROW AFTERNOON! I am so pumped. I haven't had that much time to myself since I was in the hospital with an infection in my jaw. Don't get me wrong, I love him to death, but good God am I ready for some alone time.

My wife and I have had precisely 3 hours together without our son in the last 11 months. His 3 sets of retired grandparents can't be bothered to ever babysit unless we pay them.

That feeling of freedom is awesome. Hope you get a chance to unwind and relax!

Yeah, I get one hour every 2 weeks away from him and that's for the dr. lol. My parents make me pay them, too. The bonus grandparents that are taking him today aren't actually related, they're just really close friends of my parents and I.

When my MIL is able to watch my kiddo (rare because she's on oxygen and he's a handful), I would buy them lunch..but that was about it.

I only did that because I knew him eating while she was watching him would make it easier on her lol!
