yeah I've had them because of that but I've checked and rechecked all my food and everything is good, and that still wouldn't explain why they're all over and not just in the kitchen I've put up fly tape but that only does so much.

It has happened to me, and I couldn't find the source either. I used a tupperware lid or equivalent, and put a bit of water, a drop of dishwashing liquid, and a bit of vinegar. (I didn't use foil.) I put one of those in each room. It took about 3 days to get them all. Good luck!

@themildone do the apple cider vinegar in a bowl with foil over it. Poke little holes in the foil.

Edit: My SIL snapchatted me today about using that method, and I was about to do it myself when the school called for me to get the kiddo

this works well. we had a terrible problem with them in my office, and the exterminator couldn't get rid of them. We rigged a few bowls of this and it worked!

there are swarms of gnats or something in my kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom. I have no idea where they came from and can't find the source. I'm going nuts. :spaz:

also, a lot of times they come from moisture - they call them drain flies. ours weren't fruit related. but very similar, and annoying.

I have some. THey are migrated around the sponges on our sink. I just toss 'em.

i have a drain pipe capped under my desk at work...and about 5 other nearly exposed drains in my offce. It was built in '78 and not really updated since. It just happens. :/

i am so non-plussed about bugs. we had a recent small invasion of waterbugs in my house. They startle me at first, but then I can go about my day even if I cannot kill it.

I'm mad. I did about 20 of those research tasks this morning. Saw a ton up when I got to work, but the work computer won't let me do them. It also doesn't allow me to do those cool Yale Lab ones that NEVER arrive in the morning when I can do them.
