HIT Scraper has been pretty broken since the switch to the Worker site last year. You could try a patch like this, but really I think it would be better to just use MTS' HIT Finder, or HIT Forker, or really anything that's still being maintained.

I've been using MTS and find it quite useful. Just loaded HIT Forker and I like that I can PANDA directly from HF. So I guess I'm moving into the New World. Great suggestions, @aveline !!!!!!!! Many, MANY thanks!!!!! I am now going to make and drink a cup of coffee in YOUR honor.
