So, I just checked email and a requester sent me a bonus that seems like a duplicate bonus from past work (haven't worked their hits since the strike.) This happen to anyone else and not quite sure what to do about that.

Hasn't happened to me, but since mTurk took away the refund option/p2p payments, there isn't really a whole lot we can do.

I'm not for sure why people wouldn't do the agent hits already. 1.00 per + .50 bonus is worth it IMO.

That's a good point. I emailed them when the hits first started about unpaid bonuses and they never responded. But 2 weeks later I got a bonus. Then just got it again. Do they have monkeys running their account, by chance?

no it's not. The .50 bonus isn't guaranteed and you get 1.25 for doing the user side without doing any external work/research on other sites. that extra quarter (assuming you get the full bonus) does not make up the difference

The difference is, you guys can start the hit instantly as soon as you accept it (since we've already initiated the conversation). We have to sit and wait for the agent to show up. In the long run, you spend way less time in each hit than we do since we have to wait.

Edit : I should say, it's worth it for you if the person on the other end isn't dumb. You should just skip everyones hits but mine and everyone is happy.

I got a bonus this morning from OCMP75 as well which seemed a little...heftier than I had anticipated. My issue is that I was bonused this morning at 5:30 am and yet the money doesn't exist in my available earnings. Doesn't that usually happen instantly?

It follows the same way hits do, it'll show up when it's ready, which is sometimes quick and sometimes not.

What? No it's not. The agents have to wait for the user to respond, so when people have 20 tabs of chats open and decide to check them every 30 minutes or so, it's the same amount of waiting.

Like why would I spend my time searching for the best Mexican restaurants that can seat 30 people and have meals under $20 in Dallas, find out what their availability is on a Sunday two weeks from now, ask them what time they want, confirm their time they chose is accepted, etc when I could make the same amount of money opening up a User hit and going

I want a Mexican table for 3 in Seattle
