thank you very much, and as I lay unconscious while Med students take my privates and kidneys in their hands, I will be thinking about all of you except that one guy, and I will be dreaming of turking a million dollar a sec batch :sneaky:
Oh good luck. Are they going to retrieve it or is it being blasted into smaller pieces?

I had one blasted before. Loads of fun, that was. But was far less worse than the one I passed all by my little self.

As a woman who has had kidney stones and has endured 63 hours of labor, I'm going to say loudly that passing kidney stones or kidney stone parts can be just as bad as labor. probably worse since you don't get a cute, cuddly baby out of the process.

Anyway, I hope it all goes well and the recovery is easy-peasy!

Ouchie, yeah I don't think we produce oxytocin or endorphins for kidney rubble.

One time when I worked at an answering service this older lady called in just terrified and kept repeating "I'm peeing gravel! Gravel! Tell the doctor."

Kidney rubble reminded me of that

That probably explains it. I thought labor was the worst pain I'd ever physically feel. Then I got my first kidney stone. I lost my everlovin' mind about an hour and a half after the first twinge of pain hit. I literally could not process the words the ER staff were using (and I had no clue it was a kidney stone at the time, I just thought I was dying).

Don't worry, they'll just get a medical assistant to tape that part up out of the way. It won't feel weird at all.

I'm having sympathy pains for ya.

One thing that helped me when the pain was no bueno was floating in a warm bathtub. That made all the difference for me. I hope you won't have too much pain, but if you do...remember warm bathtub (and lots and lots of water so the rubble leaves your system as fast as possible!)
