It was a kidney stone blasting. Must've been a pretty serious one. They kicked me out about 3 hours after the stone I had blasted.

I hope he's doing ok and isn't in a lot of pain! Even on painkillers I was in hideous pain. It was about an 8 on the pain scale and that was on the maximum amount of Norco I could take in a 24 hour period. (The maximum was a lot higher than I thought it would be, and they don't tell you that unless you're in severe pain I discovered...)

I know someone right now that has a stone the size of a pencil eraser, he tried to have it blasted last Friday and it did not work! So he has to drink a ton of water and just try and get it to pass on it's own. I have seen those bring grown men to the floor in pain and theirs was only the size of a grain of sand.

my dad had one for the first time a few years ago. He NEVER went to the dr for ANYTHING the entire time I was growing up. He legitimately thought he was dying when he was passing the stone. He went to the ER and that's how the found he had stage 4 kidney cancer. Doc said he would have been dead within about 3 months if he hadn't come in that night.

OMG. That sucks.

Not that size affects the pain. Ureters are pretty darn small. I just thought one the size of an eraser could get stuck and cause other issues.

This grown woman was brought to her knees in pain with my first one, and I was terrified as I had no idea what was causing it and I thought I might die, literally. My son was with me at the ER (so was my mom) and he was pretty young and I had to go away from him so he wasn't terrified. There was JUST no maintaining in his presence. I tried to be chill but it got to the point where it was impossible and I couldn't even think straight.

Side note: they gave me a medication I was allergic to (anaphylaxis) so while it killed the pain I had to go get someone to give me epinephrine so I literally would not die. But that was less scary than the pain from unknown origin.

That's why I use Circle, cos cashout over 20 quid are free. It has some work. I don't mind waiting to cash out and unless I cash out on a Sunday it's instantaneous and in the bank the same day.
