I look on it for true crime stuff, but I never cared to post so figured an account would be pointless.

I originally made one because there were some posts I wanted to save and I got tired of my bookmark folder getting messy. Then I just kind of fell down the rabbithole and now I'm coming up on my fifth cakeday

I don't remember, I already cleaned out my inbox this morning. But even if it did doesn't mean it's actually available at my bank, payments don't process for me until business hours and they're closed today

Unresolved Mysteries is an excellent sub to follow if you like that kind of stuff. There's also one dedicated to finding Forrest Fenn's hidden treasure, and while not anywhere near crime-related stuff, its fascinating and a bit funny/saddening watching people pick up on the tiniest of clues, feel they have the solve, and then go out to the general location and not be able to find anything.

I'm reading this as I earned $125, but I have approx. 50 hits pending. So, in reality my earning might actually be higher. For example if each pending hit was worth $1 then technically my earning could be $175? Or does the earned amount include those pending hits?

It only includes hits that have already paid. Whatever is still pending will count towards the week it actually approves. so if all your pendings approve today, it will count for the weekly you get this coming sunday

The weekly earning reports do not include pending funds.
What @themildone said is why some weeks, you'll see people with like $400 when they've only done 100 hits or so.. or they could just be camping out waiting only for $1+ surveys

My 7 year old is so greedy and selfish these days it is obnoxious. He broke his tablet this summer on purpose by standing on his dresser and throwing it off. So this morning I saw that he downloaded YouTube on his sister's tablet after I specifically deleted it off his Xbox because I didn't want him watching anything on there.

I want to make him volunteer this Christmas season but how can I make him see that there are kids out there with way less than him without not telling him Santa isn't real (I would just tell him but then he'd go blabbing it to his class and his younger sister and I don't want to ruin it for anyone else)? Sorry for the unrelated Monday morning rant.

Maybe you could explain that while some kids get a few presents from santa, they don't get any presents from their parents because they can't afford them, so they don't get much for Christmas?

We wanted to take our kids and work at a soup kitchen on Christmas morning some years ago....that led to all 4 of them pouting and throwing huge fits and taking it to the level of their dads who really aren't in their lives much asking things like "why do you want to make the kids deal with homeless people?"

It was a huge shitshow and trying to get rid of self entitlement that turned into more self entitlement, I still think it's a great idea though.

It's extremely hard these days, self entitlement runs rampant these days and it's super hard to get rid of.
