Thanks! He is a flooring installer by trade, so he shouldn't have much issue finding jobs, its just going from hourly employee to subcontracting is scary financially. We've bought a ton of tools, a van and liability insurance for him in the past few weeks. So broke right now! I'm a house cleaner, but have been cutting down on clients because I'm thinking of making a career move.

good luck to both of you. When I decided to quit my job, move, and start my own business it was scary AF but within a couple months I discovered that I could make more in one day than in one week for my old boss. There are times it sucks and times it rocks.

Personally, I always tell people to find something you are good at making and sell it at flea markets or craft shows. There is a market for pretty much anything.
