I didn't put mine on the heat vent or anything, just on my dresser. That was when my son was still sleeping with me and we were both waking up with nosebleeds. it stopped them for both of us

Yeah. I knew when I ran into her and she publicly melted down then texted me about how much "vitamin D" she was getting already that there was nothing I could do to increase her sense of self esteem or self worth. Believe me, I tried. I need to stop with the "projects" -- I've always tried to be a fixer.

Yiiiikes, she sounds like a real trainwreck. Hopefully she gets her shit together before she's too old.

The best thing I ever did was decide I can't fix anyone and stop taking that responsibility on myself. It's hard at first, but it's really really nice. It helps that my SO is a great dude, but I met him literally after I decided I was no longer interested in broken people. Good luck to you! Sounds like you're in for a heck of a time (getting masters, single, lots going for you, no longer picking up project people) git it!

Yeah, the hardest part is rebuilding confidence after being conditioned that I was a POS and that everything I ever thought was normal was actually horrible and inconsiderate for the better part of two years.
