I hate storms/tornadoes. I'll never get used to it.

My ex's cousin was in a tornado when she was a kid so, she's deathly afraid. Like, irrationally so.
We were visiting her in Ohio and there was a warning. She went and got her, and her husband's helmets. Then she got the 'guest helmets' which she expected me to wear. When I refused, she started balling, saying that it was scaring her that I was going to die. I understand safety but, it wasn't even windy where she was, at that time. They had just mentioned it on the news and the helmets came out and were donned. I just thought it was one step too far. I went to the mall.

I've lived in Southern Indiana my whole life...storms and tornadoes abundant. One of 'em killed my mother in law, and she called it. It was her worst fear, and said it's how she'll die. Kinda eerie.

Tornadoes never scared me, but I am terrified of snow. Or more accurately driving in it. I've been "in" two tornadoes and just down the road from a few more.

i'm terrified of tornadoes and hurricanes. i've seen a tornado, and i've had quite a few huge trees come down and near miss houses during hurricanes. regular thunderstorms amp me up and I definitely can't sleep during them. at a teenager I was obsessive with the weather and weather channel.

now I drink instead.
