I returned the rest of the evaluations of those rewritten phrases. Gives warning errors and it's just too risky at this point in my callow mTurk youth.

The requester definitely needs help rephrasing sentences, though.

I think we're dealing with inflected/non-inflected translation issues, and the original language would seem to carry a lot more noun context than English.

It's very possible that they are machine translated. You make the corrections and they feed that data back through telling it what it should have been . Then it tries again.

Its hypothetical of course because I'm not the researcher. If you want to see a good example of that ( in a different context) grab one of Noah's chit chat with a bot hits. You start the cinconversat and eventually the machine screws up and you tell it "that didn't make sense" and it asks you what it should have said instead.

Much of turking is like teaching toddlers when you realize how much of it is related to machine learning, computer vision, and ai in general.

The visual stuff and word recognition things are obviously so. This could be, but there's a definite pattern here related to cultural/language differences. I'm not a linguist but I'm linguistics-curious.

It's just an impression.
