It seems to stop whenever I have audio off. Strange that this starts happening now when I've had the monitor for so long. I'm also the only one in the house that can hear it... hm. Guess I'll just turk with earphones today.

What kind of monitor(led?) and what kind of connection to the pc? If it's HDMI or USB, it could be em/radio noise from bad/no cord shielding.

Thanks. Whatever it's called, I've seen it work more times than I care to admit. Sometimes for "unsolvable" problems.
Strange hums seem highly susceptible to this type of adjustment.
