One time a long time ago I was at a work conference and got a horrid cold. The bartender one night made me a hot toddy. OMG it super helped! I could not believe it actually worked without getting me shit faced, but it did. Better than any cold medicine I had ever taken (that I am now all allergic to, so it's hot toddies for me! They can also be made with rum...)

Most of that stuff is made with alcohol anyway and some really funky chemicals that may or may not help. We have a guy around here that gets drunk off of dollar general brand listerine when he runs low on money, it is only one dollar a bottle.

I'm allergic to NSAIDs so I get to avoid all those funky alcohol chemicals, lol. If I take an NSAID I could die, so...eh...I avoid all OTC remedies in case they have a sneaky NSAID in there that I don't recognize. I thought Listerine did away with its intoxicating stuffs a while ago due to kids using it to get drunk? But, I dunno. I always just went for the cheap ass Boone's Farm when I was too poor to afford the decent stuff, lol.

No, it is still alcohol in there because he still gets drunk on it. I would just get some Mad Dog 20/20 for 3 bucks a bottle myself.
