There's a round-about, sort of way to do it that I use but, it's not for everyone. But, it works for me. I set up Remote Desktop for chrome on my pc and my phone. Then, when I'm away, I can still work from my home pc, with all of my tools and scripts, via my phone. I know it's not what you're looking for but, maybe a work-around. Also, welcome.

I looked up a way to do this with Mac, and I realllllly need to sit down and sort it. I will do SO much better if I can remote into my laptop at home.


EDIT: I am not tech savvy and this stuff frustrates me endlessly.

There should be a simple solution for mac too. Remote desktop has been a thing forever, being used a lot for tech support in the 90s. So, there should be free, proven solutions for every platform/OS.

When i find some time to sit down and do it and I see you floating around here, I will let you know. I'm going to make it a goal in the next week despite being busy, maybe stay up late one night and get it sorted. I've been meaning to for a little while- I can't run my laptop during the summer in my current room, but winter will be fine.

Teamviewer is very user friendly and supports both Mac and Windows iirc.

Yeah. You can enable various different levels of control from view only to full control.

The UI is pretty nice. You basically have a messenger style list that allows you to log into whatever computers you have on your list at any time. I've used it a lot to fix stuff for my mom or my wife when I wasn't around.

This is not directed at you.(honestly, I sometimes use teachable moments to do just that and would hate for anyone to jump on me because of it. And you know I love you, platonically)
Just a PSA for new people who may not be aware, or realize the functionality, of the forum search. In this case, a simple search for Zoltar PandA would get you there in the first page of the results. Just want to make people aware of their options and, that sometimes you can find the answer more quickly if you look for the last time that question was asked and answered.
