Do you think that a requester would reject for something you wrote in the comments section?
Asking for a friend.
I, for one, would never tell a requester that their hit sucked and/or was underpaid. I also wouldn’t put Star Trek quotes in the comments. Nope, not this guy.

I tried O scale..It's neat and has a bunch of features, but man, is it expensive. Didn't help Lionel's prices kept going up with each locomotive release. $400-$450 for a diesel when I started, then up to $550, then north of $600 by the time I said enough. N scale is small and pretty cheap comparatively. I had a door sized layout in N years ago but sold it when I switched to O. Now I'm working on building another layout of my own.
Yeah, they are expensive. My dad ended up getting the set they had from when he was a kid, so I grew up with some of the older lionel stuff from the late 40's or 50's. It was kind of one of the things that he did with my sister and I when we were kids. He dedicated half a garage to it. We built mountains out of plaster of paris and screen. Had slot cars that were integrated, and two trains running on different loops. My dad was the bomb. My sister still has all the old trains, just in a display case until she has a place she can realistically set it up.

An N guage setup the size of a door can get intense...those little things are so detailed and have so many accessories you can do a lot with them.

He had a similar batch that I worked on last month where there were also 6 HIT's available and someone had pointed out the same thing then. Also, whenever you have a HIT where there is more than one HIT listed as available, go ahead and try to accept more than one. If it let's you accept another HIT and it ends up being just a repeat, you can always return it. You just never know how requesters setup their HIT's. Sometimes it's just trial and error.
Thanks, and excellent advice!!

My usual "White/Black and Hispanic aren't mutually exclusive" got a little long b/c they used the made up term "Latinx" and I had to let them know it was fake and disrespectful to the language.

So, like... I guess I'm okay. I'll have to think of some good quotes for the next one.

First time I saw that term was doing transcription for Crowdsurf of the UC Davis graduation, where something like 90% of the students were identified as "Latinx" really threw me for a loop. Is it offensive? Not that I'd ever use it anyhow, but just so we're clear, it's not a good thing and don't use it in general?

Whoa, wait, what?
I've had people from Mexico very firmly tell me to use Latino/a, and Latinx is just trying to throw gender neutral/trans people a bone, is it not? How is this bad?

I feel totally ignorant about this. Is there a difference between Hispanic and Latino? I see both used. I am still wondering where I put my white-British tick (though I also classify as white-Irish according to the UK census folks, but there isn't a tick for 100% Celtic)

That $10 bonus I got today was from an R who had no idea that a HIT could be underpaid (which I communicated to him). 50 cent HIT, and he bonuses me 10 bucks: suffice to say that he was very thankful I wrote him. Some Rs need to be a bit more educated about what they do, and the impact that has on us. The only way I know how to do that is to communicate with them (politely, of course).

It's a made up term trying to be "not offensive" where it wasn't offensive in the first place. "Latino" is proper in the way of the language, and only someone not familliar with it would think not saying Latina for females, or adding an "X" for everyone would be an issue. It's butchering the language for PC when there's not PC needed.
white-British tick
That's just white.

Oh idk I'm not the one who said it was bad! I just thought it was a gender neutral term. I was asking b/c IDK.
