I second this recommendation. You should be able to turk for the next 2 or 3 years and still be able to stream netflix and pandora at the same time.

I had looked up specs for my laptop (since its really been a good computer overall)

• Intel Core i5-480M Processor
• 4GB RAM, 750GB HDD
• Win 7, upgraded to 10

And was planning on using that as my baseline for a desktop without knowing much. So this is helpful.

I would be sure to only buy clients with DDR4 or later RAM at this point moving forward as well. If what you want is a cheap workstation, make sure you pay attention to that slot. A lot of 'business' deal computer offers will slap DDR3 in there to keep the price low but this can be problematic long term and not worth it. I'd really try to move into an SSD, at least for the boot partition, you'll have a much better experience : )

I think this would be a good comparison when you are looking at things, even if you build one yourself. These prices probably aren't spectacular but you can usually find coupon codes.

Only thing you would want would be a cheap ssd (less than 100 ) you can install it in 5 minutes plus the time it takes to reload windows.
