I'm with you. I watched the first episode once before and just didn't engage with it, but for some reason the second time around was the charm.

Not sure how old you are/marital status and all that. You're early 30s IIRC? It really resonated with me at the time, late 30s, 3 little kids and a husband who was brilliant yet underpaid (MF'er should be a multi-millionaire. He invented and built an artificial heart in HS, The there was the ban - he's a bit older ) and battling an illness.

My daughter and I love the show but it doesn't stop us from mocking it through the entire episode.

Tonight certainly did suck. And I agree they make some shitastic decisions.

I really liked it but my husband thinks it had too much fan service.

My boyfriend thinks this about any show that I like. Mainly, because (and this is just my unqualified opinion) it means less attention for him.

I went into walking dead with low expectation and bottle full of percocet. I thought it was gonna be another zombie cash grab. Well it turned out pretty good, Rick finds Carl and they both kick ass together, going on to live happily ever after.

Haven't seen tonight's episode yet, but I just wish they weren't so damn obvious in how the writers make the characters act in stupid ways just to get them in a position where they're in danger. I mean I get it, if they stayed safe and happy inside the walls there wouldn't be a show, but at least work a little harder for it, instead of " Character decides to go off on its own for whatever reason, bad stuff happens".

Haven't seen tonight's episode yet, but I just wish they weren't so damn obvious in how the writers make the characters act in stupid ways just to get them in a position where they're in danger. I mean I get it, if they stayed safe and happy inside the walls there wouldn't be a show, but at least work a little harder for it, instead of " Character decides to go off on its own for whatever reason, bad stuff happens".

Or at least leave the old, lame and pregnant at home for Jeebus sakes.

Ain't that the truth. I've been reading those comic books since I was almost young, and watching the series since it first aired. I won't stop, but some day soon, the series will end I think. They can't survive that level of incompetence forever.
