I just can't deal with these PRE's. (despite the fact that it's great)

That was a mod of the original version which didn't work in FF.

https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/14823-new-hit-monitor-v2 will work in FF and Chome. I'm not sure about Safari. I never tried it.
